Summary:

This course explains the functionality, advantages, drawbacks, and uses for the various types of cryptography. This course also covers the CIA model, the different protocols used in cryptography, and how several U.S. government agencies are involved in the creation of security standards.

Objectives:

  • Apply appropriate cryptographic tools and products
  • Explain the core concepts of public key infrastructure
  • Explain the concepts of confidentiality, integrity and availability
  • Summarize general cryptography concepts
