This course explains how to provide network security using a variety of tools and methods, including sniffers, IDSs, active responses, and passive responses. This course also addresses the technologies used by TCP/IP and the Internet.

Objectives:

  • Explain the security function and purpose of network devices and technologies
  • Analyze and differentiate among types of application attacks
  • Analyze and differentiate among types of mitigation and deterrent techniques
  • Explain the importance of application security
