This course covers the required thread knowledge you'll need to apply on the certification exam. This course also discusses the five thread states, as well as the problems that are encountered when two threads act on the same data.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Start new threads
• Recognize thread states and transitions
• Use object locking to avoid concurrent access
• Write code that uses wait(), notify(), or notifyAll()
