This course discusses how Automatic Storage Management (ASM) can help manage disk space for all Oracle file types, including online and archived logs, RMAN backup sets, flashback logs, and even initialization parameter files (spfiles). This course examines what ASM is, how to configure an ASM instance, how to manage an ASM instance, and how to use ASM from within an Oracle database.
