This course describes a variety of methods for backing up and restoring both the entire SharePoint Server farm and its individual components.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Backup and restore a SharePoint environment
• Describe permissions necessary for the human and system accounts
• Use the various tools required to perform backups of the SharePoint farm and its subelements
• Differentiate backup and recovery tasks that are specifically managed by Windows PowerShell
