Summary:

The ability to work efficiently and effectively from a remote location, whether it's a branch office, small office/home office (SOHO), or a mobile location, is critical. Similarly, understanding how the available technologies interact and determining how to best manage them are key components of any professional's skill set. This course presents the methodologies involved with configuring remote access. It describes IOS options and hardware products for securing a network and defines ways to make securing the network easier. Other topics discussed include virtual private network (VPN) capabilities, integration with intrusion detection system (IDS) sensors, and the firewall feature set.

The test that this series prepares students to take is a part of earning the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
